Teltonika RUT500 3G Router Reduced To £82.00

Westlake Connect / 3G Router Store have announced a series of amazing deals on the Teltonika 3G and 3G Routers with the entry level Teltonika RUT500 M2M 3G Router at just £82.00 each.

The RUT500 is an embedded, industrial grade 3G router with 3 x RJ45 Ethernet LAN Ports and WiFi and includes an embedded 3G module – so you can insert your 3G SIM card and connect to your mobile broadband service.

The RUT500 includes a 3G keep alive feature called ping reboot that is configured to ping an IP address on the Internet, something like Google public DNS server and if the router does not get a response then it will reboot and re-establish the 3G connection.  This sort of feature is needed because 3G and 4G services are an always available service and not an always on service.

This Ping Reboot feature makes the Teltonika RUT500 ideal for M2M (Machine To Machine) applications that need a reliable 3G connection – after all there is no point relying on a 3G connection for remote monitoring and management if you need to drive to site every week to turn your router off and on to get it to reconnect to the mobile network.  This is why many M2M installations that want to use a 3G or 3G connection will use an M2M type router rather than rely on a cheaper router and USB Modem set up.

The Teltonika RUT500 also has an extra resilience feature called SMS Reboot so you can send the RUT500 an SMS message to get it to reboot or to send an SMS with the router status or to switch the 3G connection on or off.

Of course the 3G router is just one part of the equation to provide remote access using mobile broadband.  You will also need a SIM Card and the majority of users will opt for a Fixed IP SIM Card – this is a service from a specialist provider that enables the 3G router to use the mobile phone networks for the 3G connection but also provides a Public, Fixed IP Address so your 3G router, when used with a Fixed IP SIM Card provides you with a router, with an internet connection with a Fixed, Public IP address – that means you can contact the router from anywhere on the Internet and use port forwarding to connect to your devices on the LAN such as CCTV equipment (IP Cameras, DVR etc) or any other type of networked device including building management, energy monitoring (Wind/Solar), Digital Advertising (Remote Media/Digital Signage).  If you just use a normal SIM card directly from the mobile networks your SIM card will connect to the Internet but will only be issued with a private IP address so you will never be able to communicate directly with your router, nor use features like port forwarding or DYNDNS – of course when you use a PC connected to the 3G router and open a web browser and visit a site like www.showmyip.co.uk then you will see that your connection has what appears to be a public IP address, however your router will have a different private IP address on the mobile network private network and the public IP address you see will be shared with up to 250 other users because the mobile network is using CGNAT (Carrier Grade NAT).

Teltonika also provide other 3G and 4G routers through their distributor in the UK, Westlake Connect Ltd (www.westlake.co.uk) who own and operate several dedicated online stores including www.3grouterstore.co.uk and www.4grouter.co.uk.

The manufacturers of the Proroute 3G routers are so confident in their reliability that they offer an advance replacement warranty free of charge for all Proroute 3G routers in the UK.  This warranty covers hardware failure to ensure that customers and users of Proroute routers provide the best levels of customer service and satisfaction from a company that wants to deliver the same reliability and service as it’s products.

Teltonika RUT500 HSPA+ Router

Building upon the success of the RUT104 HSPA+ router, Teltonika have announced the launch of their new high speed mobile broadband router.  The Teltonika RUT500 is an industrial grade HSPA+ router offering high speed HSPA+ 3G mobile broadband connectivity for M2M applications such as 3G CCTV and remote monitoring and management for applications such as Wind Turbine and Solar Installations.

RUT500

The RUT500 features 4 x 10/100 Ethernet ports for wired LAN connectivity and high speed wireless networking via the N Wireless WiFi connectivity.  The embedded HSPA+ Modem provides high speed 3G connectivity with download speeds up to 14.4Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76Mbps.  The RUT500 is encased in a robust Aluminium casing and includes a Ping Reboot feature which re-connects the router to the 3G network in the event of a disconnection which is essential for all M2M 3G Routers.

The Teltonika RUT500 will be available in the UK in October 2012 and we anticipate that this will become a very popular router alongside it’s already popular smaller brother, the Teltonika RUT104.

Teltonika RUT104 HSPA+ 3G Router

Teltonika, a leading manufacturer of GSM and 3G M2M communications technology has announced the launch of their new RUT104 HSPA+ Router.

This revised version of their popular 3G router provides faster 3G Internet connectivity for the RUT104 Router.  Using the latest HSPA+ network technology the RUT104 offers fast mobile broadband download speeds up to 14.4Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76Mbps.

Teltonika RUT104 HSPA+ 3G Router

The Teltonika RUT104 boasts an impressive feature list for such a low priced, industrial grade 3G router including built-in site to site VPN functionality (IPsec, Open VPN and PPTP), Firewall and Port Forwarding features, all essential on a 3G router designed to provide remote access over the 3G network for applications such as CCTV, Digital Signage, Solar Installations and Wind Turbine management and monitoring.

Using a 3G router instead of a wired broadband service has become increasingly popular and Teltonika have seen a huge rise in demand for their 3G routers and this has led to a significant investment in a revised version of their RUT104 router including a redesigned web interface.

This router is easy to install and configure and provides a reliable 3G internet connection and with the added benefit of a Ping Reboot feature that can be configured to automatically reboot the router to re-establish a 3G connection in the event that the 3G network disconnects the device, makes the Teltonika the first choice of 3G router for high speed mobile broadband connectivity for a wide range of M2M (Machine to Machine) remote monitoring and management applications.

The rise in the use of 3G mobile broadband routers for M2M applications has been driven by the low cost of reliable 3G Routers, the availability of Fixed IP SIM cards, the falling cost of 3G connectivity and the rising cost of installing wired broadband in temporary or remote locations as well as the availability of 3G connectivity from O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange and Three across the UK.

The Teltonika RUT104 is available in the UK from Westlake Communications Ltd, a leading supplier of 3G Routers.
