Yealink Phones approved by Broadsoft and Avaya

Yealink’s award-winning SIP-T2X range of IP phones has secured interoperability with key Avaya and BroadSoft solutions.

In a landmark move the five-strong range has been certified compliant with Avaya solutions including Avaya Aura® Communication Manager and Avaya S8800 Media Server with G650 Media Gateway.

In addition the handsets have been formally validated by BroadSoft for use on its popular BroadWorks platform, confirming they support all its latest features. These include shared call appearance, BLF, multiple call arrangement, network conferencing, device feature synchronisation and DNS SRV Lookup.

Commenting on the compliance confirmations, Yealink UK’s managing director Andrew Roberts said: “These are landmark achievements. Full compliance across the range with major Avaya solutions that are so strategically well placed in the UK telecoms and unified communications marketplaces is vitally important. Yealink Interoperability

McWilliams Communications have completed interoperability testing with the Yealink range of IP Phones to integrate onto their IPgenie UCP, which is an Aserisk based open source IP PBX designed and built in the UK.

Yealink have added two new products to enhance their IP Phone range.

Yealink EHS36 – Wireless Headset Controller (EHS = Electronic Hook Switch) – works with the Yealink T26 and Yealink T28 IP Phones in conjunction with a comatible Cordless Headset eg. Plantronics CS60.

Specialist VoIP manufacturer Yealink is launching a low-cost ‘simply IP phone’ designed to meet growing demand from users looking to migrate from analogue to SIP platforms.

Yealink T18P SimplyIP Phone

Whilst carrying an RRP of just £43.50 (ex-VAT), the Yealink SIP – T18P IP Phone offers a strong feature set, making it well suited to a variety of private and public sector environments. The Yealink T18 sip phone features a TI Titan chipset at its core providing a high quality compact phone that offers 20 keys – two programmable – with standard features including voicemail, call transfer, three-way conferencing, eight speed dials, call logging and auto attendant. As with all models in Yealink’s SIP telephone range, the SIP – T18P also offers PoE and includes the PSU whilst resellers will also benefit from ease of installation via auto-provisioning.

The Introduction of the Yealink T18 IP Phone compliments the Yealink range of IP phones which include the Yealink T20, Yealink T22, Yealink T26 and the Yealink T28.

The Tealink T18P IP Phone will be available from September 2010.
