Apple TV+ has received 17 Daytime Emmy Award nominations across four different programs this year — “Ghostwriter,” “Helpsters,” “Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10,” and “Snoopy in Space.”
Daytime programming has had to expand its definition, now that streaming-only services like Apple TV+, Hulu, Netflix, and Facebook Watch have entered the mix. Typically, daytime programming is any all-audience, family-friendly show that could be aired before “primetime” programs, which tend to be more adult-oriented.
Unsurprisingly, Apple’s commitment to bringing high-quality children’s programming to Apple TV+ has helped them rack up the nominations — 17 nominations in total — for their kid-friendly shows.
The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards will be broadcast on CBS on June 26 and filmed remotely as to comply with COVID-19restrictions. Below is a list of all the Daytime Emmy Awards each show is nominated for.
