CATSKILL – Mid-Hudson Data Corp., which provides cable TV and internet access to parts of Columbia, Greene, Albany and Schoharie counties, has been awarded $640,296 by the Federal Communications Commission to expand broadband access to areas lacking high-speed internet.
The money is part of $170 million earmarked by the FCC and its Connect America Fund to New York state’s universal broadband initiative. The FCC awards the money in phases.
