During the 2018-2019 period, Lenovo showed several smartphones, the company was eager to return to the market with its own brand of devices. This year, however, there are no new products, and the company occasionally declares that it is about to launch the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone. The smartphone should arrive with many innovations such as a 90-watt fast charge and a retractable front camera on the right side.
Lenovo Legion: the unboxing of the world’s first 90-watt smartphone
However, now it is not clear when the Lenovo Legion announcement will take place, but the smartphone itself is already ready to go out. As part of a promotional campaign to promote new products on the market, a video is released with the unboxing of the device. True, to name what is shown on exactly as unboxing in the usual sense, will be a great exaggeration.
It is decided to limit the demonstration of impressive and spectacular packaging, as well as briefly show its contents and the smartphone itself. It is possible to make out that the Lenovo Legion will be available in a blue gradient. And a multi-module camera will be available on the backside. No traces of the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the back were found. This indicates that it could be on the side face or built into the display.
According to the information that previously flashed on the network, Lenovo Legion should offer a 90-Hz display. In addition, we should have a liquid cooling system with temperature control sensors. Also, a Snapdragon 865/865 + chip and a USB Type-C port should arrive alongside stereo speakers.
Lenovo Legion
According to Geekbench listings, Lenovo Legion has an octa-core processor with 1.8GHz base frequency. The motherboard used is “Kona” that resembles Snapdragon 865 SoC. Since the benchmark scores of the Legion gaming are normal standard that we saw on other SD 865 phones, a new chipset seems unlikely. The performance of the chipset used on the Lenovo Legion will improve due to the enhanced heat dissipation features.
Talking about the camera segment, there is a dual rear camera setup led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor. In addition, we have a 16-megapixel secondary sensor. Whereas for selfies, there is a side-mounted pop-up 20-megapixel shooter. The side placement is will make gamers easier to stream and play games horizontally. The gaming phone will feature a massive 5,050mAh battery and will come with a 45W charger in the box. On the software side, we will get Legion UI and the latest Android version.
The new phone looks promising which will not only attract gamers but general consumers too. From the display to the performance to the battery, everything looks fantastic. The new gaming phone for sure is a big threat to the likes of Black Shark, Red Magic, and ROG Phone.
