R5020 Router FAQ
Which SIM Cards work with the Roubustel R5020 5G Router?
The R5020 contains an embedded 5G modem that will work with all global 5G network bands, as well as being backwards compatible with all UK 4G and 3G networks. This means that you can use a standard 5G SIM Card from any network and the R5020 router will provide a high speed 5G connection with speeds dependant upon the network provider and other factors such as network capacity, distance to base station and network load at peak times. If you need remote access to your R5020 router, for example when using this router in an M2M application for remote management or monitoring then we recommend that you use a Fixed IP SIM Card. There are several providers of Fixed IP SIM Cards and many of these will offer 5G Fixed IP SIM Cards.
If you are using the R5020 router for CCTV then a combination of the Robustel 5G router and a 5G Fixed IP SIM card will provide a high speed, reliable 5G CCTV Internet service for easy remote access to your CCTV equipment and easy use of port forwarding, but remember if using a Fixed IP SIM Card with a public IP address then you should take care to correctly configure both the security settings in the router and also the connected CCTV NVR, IP camper equipment to prevent unauthorised access.
What is the price for the R5020 Router?
Robustel have not yet announced pricing, but have advised that it will be very competitively priced and will be a direct competitor to the new Teltonika 5G Router when it is launched.
