Vivo showcased its Apex 2020 concept smartphone in February this year. The smartphone sports in-display selfie camera, 60W fast wireless charging support and the main camera sensor with improved image stabilisation that claimed to offer around 200% more stabilisation compared to the usual OIS technology currently being used in the smartphones. Now reports claim that X50 may be the same phone.
Some reports suggest that the smartphone will feature the recently-announced Samsung ISOCELL GN1 50MP sensor which has Tetracell technology that doubles the pixel size to 2.4μm for improved low-light photography. The same can be seen in another teaser video posted on Weibo that highlights the low-light camera capabilities of the smartphone.
Vivo in a post on Weibo has claimed that they will reveal more surprises on June 1. We are assuming that the company may announce the smartphone.
The post reads, “Vivo X50 series, built-in super-sensitive micro-cloud platform. How stable is it, please watch this video first. On June 1, there are more surprises. Forwarding diffusion, pumping a Vivo audio and video headset, draw today.” (roughly translated from Chinese using Google Translate).
Not much is known so far about the technical specifications of the phone. We can also expect to see the flagship processor from Qualcomm powering the smartphone.
