The majority of households have become more reliant on their broadband connection since lockdown started in March.
Those with older, slower deals, may now be fed-up with a strain put on from home working, Netflix binges, football streaming and more people within the home connecting at the same time.
With a large chunk of the workforce still unsure of an office return and the kids off school until September, many could be looking to upgrade their internet to a faster, more reliable connection if they haven’t already.
More people are reliant on their broadband connection as many continue to work from home
Holly Niblett, head of digital at Compare the Market, said: ‘Many Britons spending more time at home this summer as a result of Covid-19 will welcome that there are a wide range of competitively priced entertainment packages available on the market.
‘It is recommended that households looking to save money opt to bundle their broadband and digital TV, as it’s usually cheaper to combine the two into one package.’
To help consumers get the best possible deal, This is Money has compiled a list of the top offers currently available for both broadband and TV.

How to find the best deal
Customers looking to save money on their broadband and TV are encouraged to compare prices online as shopping around can potentially save households hundreds of pounds a year.
When looking for a new deal, make sure to only include in your package things that you are actually going to use, for example, don’t buy an expensive, all inclusive TV offer if you don’t watch many channels.
Similarly, if you don’t need superfast fibre broadband, don’t pay out for the priciest tariff. Check what speeds you actually need first before committing.
If you are happy with the service you are receiving but think you are paying too much, contact your provider and see if you can negotiate a better deal.
Whilst this might not necessarily mean a cheaper bill, it could mean you get more for your money, for example, more channels or faster internet speeds.
