The Option XYFI can be used as your main connectivity device becuase it will also connect to WLAN networks and switch to 3G Network when out of range of the Wireless Hotspot. In the UK this means that if you use BT Openreach Hotspots you can have the Option XYFI connect to the BT Openreach network when available and switch to 3G mobile broadband when you move out of an Openreach hotspot. This will save you having to keep checking and selecting whether to use 3G or search for hotspots simplifying your mobile broadband use.
The XYFI 4G Mobile Broadband WiFi Hotspot can be powered by any USB device so is ideal to connect to the USB port of your PC or Laptop, a USB Power Socket or car USB port.
