Great news for Internet speed freaks (and businesses that want a great value, reliable, high speed 5G Internet connection).
Zyxel have announced the launch of their new NEBULA FWA510 5G router which promises to deliver lightning fast 5G mobile Internet connectivity with a built-in 5G modem capable of speeds of up to 5Gbps. Of course we all know that the advertised speed of a 5G modem in the real world will be significantly lower but the higher specification the modem the greater the chance of getting the best speeds.
Zyxel also provide this 5G router with super fast WiFi6 with speeds across the WiFi of up to 3.6Gps.
IN the past, with routers like the NR5101 for example, Zyxel held back on the external antenna ports and only provided the ability to connect an antenna to support 5G only with a 2×2 antenna connection so if you wanted to use an external antenna for a higher speed 4G connection whilst waiting for 5G to be available then it was not a practical solution. The Zyxel Nebula FWA510 comes with 4 x TS9 antenna connectors on the rear so that it will support the connection of a 4×4 MIMO 5G antenna supporting 4G and 5G which is a big improvement.
